A rich heritage
Plaswood has been manufactured in Dumfries, Scotland, by Berry bpi since 1995
Plaswood, a brand of Berry Global, a major manufacturer and marketer of plastic packaging products. Headquartered in Indiana in the US, it has over 290 facilities across the globe and more than 48,000 employees.
We make sure that used plastic does not end up in landfill
Berry bpi is a leading recycler of waste polythene film in Europe with an annual recycling capacity in excess of 150,000 tonnes at five sites, all of which are accredited by the Environment Agency, Scottish Environment Protection Agency and Natural Resources Wales.
Major investments
In 2002, Berry bpi began a £22 million investment programme to recycle post-use agricultural films
This was followed by a further £4 million investment in 2013 in a brand new state-of-the-art wash plant at the Rhymney factory in South Wales, enabling the business to further strengthen its already impressive range of recycled polythene products, including Plaswood.
